Michael Healey’s The Drawer Boy will get a run at off-Broadway’s SoHo Playhouse, beginning performances on April 19 and running through June 16. The official opening night is set for April 24.
Alex Fast, Brad Fryman and William Laney will star in the play, set in 1972 on an Ontario farm. The show charts the adventures of Miles, a young actor who visits two elderly farmers (and WWII veterans) to ‘research’ farm life for a new play.
The show is directed by Alexander Dinelaris and will feature scenic design by Rebecca Lord-Surratt, costumes by David Murin, lighting by Amith Chandrashaker and sound design by Nick Moore. The cast and creative team all premiered the show in New York workshop in March 2013.
